One Ball on the Forearm Ends More Seasons Than Any Other Blow.
It's never the ball you see coming. It lifts off a length, you're half-forward and committed, and it takes you flush on the inside of the forearm. Best case you bat on with a lump and a dead arm. Worst case it's a hairline fracture, six weeks out, and you watch the back half of the season from the boundary.
The Shrey Legacy is built so that ball doesn't reach bone. A fused plastic and EVA multi-layer shell spreads and absorbs the impact, while a Lycra-blend compression sleeve holds the whole thing exactly where you put it — no slipping down to your wrist halfway through an over, which is how most arm guards fail you at the moment you need them.
Bulletproof Benefits
- Plastic + EVA multi-layer protection system: A rigid outer plate disperses the force across a wide area while the EVA layer beneath absorbs what's left. Foam-only guards simply compress and pass the blow through to your arm — this doesn't.
- Removable triceps padding: Run the full-length setup against genuine pace, or strip the triceps pad out for a lighter, freer feel against spin and medium pace. One guard, two configurations — most guards give you no choice at all.
- Lycra-blend compression sleeve: Grips your arm properly instead of relying on straps that loosen. The guard stays over the bone through 40 overs, not just the first five.
- Integrated elastic support: Built-in tension holds the protection flat against the forearm, so there's no gap for a ball to find.
- Flatlock seams: Flat-stitched throughout, so there's no raised seam sawing at your inner arm over a long innings — the thing that makes most players take their arm guard off and leave it off.
- Lightweight and breathable: Light enough that you forget you're wearing it, and ventilated enough to survive an Australian afternoon without turning swampy.
- Black or white: Match your club's kit — white under whites for traditional formats, black for coloured clothing and T20.
An arm guard costs fifty dollars. A forearm fracture costs you half a season. We hold limited stock in Medium and Large black — the two sizes that cover most senior players. Don't be the one buying protection the week after you needed it.

Which Arm Does an Arm Guard Go On?
Your top arm — the one closest to the bowler, which takes the blow when a ball rears up off a length. For a right-hand batter that's the left forearm; for a left-hander, the right. It sits on the outside of the forearm between elbow and wrist, under your shirt sleeve. If you're buying one guard, this is the arm that needs it. Players facing genuine pace sometimes wear a second on the bottom arm, but the top arm is non-negotiable.
Getting the Size Right
Measure around the widest part of your forearm, just below the elbow, and choose the size that fits snugly without restricting your blood flow or your bat swing. As a rough guide, Small suits junior and smaller senior players, Medium covers the majority of adult club cricketers, and Large suits bigger builds and anyone wearing the guard over a long-sleeve compression top. The compression sleeve has genuine stretch, so if you sit between sizes, take the smaller one for a tighter hold — a loose arm guard migrates, and a migrated arm guard protects nothing.
Arm Guard vs Elbow Guard vs Forearm Guard
These terms get used interchangeably and it causes a lot of wrong purchases. An arm guard (this product) covers the forearm between wrist and elbow — the area most commonly struck. An elbow guard is a smaller cup protecting the joint itself. A forearm guard is another name for an arm guard. The Legacy's removable triceps section means it also extends coverage above the elbow when you want it, which is effectively two products in one.
Who It's For
Club and grade batters facing genuine pace, top-order players who spend time at the crease, juniors moving up to a harder ball and quicker bowling, and anyone who has already taken one on the arm and has no intention of doing it again.
