Mid Blade. Both Feet. Unleash the Dark Force.
Ask most club batters where they score and the honest answer is "everywhere" — a cover drive when it's full, a pull when it's short, a cut when there's width. A bat weighted hard toward the toe or the shoulder quietly punishes half of that repertoire.
The BLAK 200 is shaped for players who don't specialise. A mid-blade profile centres the sweet spot so front-foot and back-foot shots both come off the middle, and Grade 3+ English willow gives you the timber quality to back it up. Massive edges through the drive zone finish the job.
Bulletproof Benefits
- Grade 3+ English willow: A genuine step up in timber — straighter, cleaner grain that plays in faster and keeps its rebound through a full season of Saturdays.
- Mid-blade profile: Sweet spot centred so drives, cuts and pulls all find the middle — the most adaptable shape for players who score all round the wicket.
- Front and back foot balance: You don't have to change how you bat to suit the bat, which matters when wickets differ every week.
- Massive edges at the drive zone: Thick edges convert half-timed shots and thick outside edges into runs instead of catches.
- Pronounced bow: More face presented at contact, so the middle plays bigger than it measures and drives stay down.
- Round treble spring handle: Sprung cane construction absorbs the shock of a jarring delivery before it reaches your hands.
- Also made in junior sizes: DSC produce the BLAK 200 in sizes 3, 4, 5, 6 and Harrow — ask us to order a smaller size in.
Two in stock at Cranbourne. The 200 is the shape most club players should be buying, and it's the one that clears first once pre-season gets going.

Mid Profile vs Low Profile
A mid-blade profile puts the sweet spot in the centre of the blade, which suits batters who play off both feet and wickets with a bit of bounce. A low profile drops the middle toward the toe and favours front-foot drivers on flatter, lower decks. If you're not sure which you are, mid profile is the safer buy — it costs you very little at either end and covers far more situations.
Who It's For
All-round club and grade batters, players who face varied surfaces across a season, and anyone who wants one bat that handles the full range of shots rather than specialising.
