Make the Unreal Look Real. In BLU.
Every club has the player who makes a difficult shot look routine. Not through brute force — through timing, a wide middle, and a bat that doesn't fight them when the ball isn't quite where they expected it.
The BLU Mirage brings DSC's Duckbill profile and Grade 2 English willow together in the BLU range's distinctive livery. The shaping extends the sweet spot along the blade instead of concentrating it, so the shots you don't perfectly middle still travel.
Bulletproof Benefits
- Grade 2 English willow: Premium-tier timber with clean, straight grain — fast to play in, hard rebound, and it holds performance across seasons.
- Duckbill profile: DSC's signature shaping, engineered to extend the sweet spot and optimise weight distribution so the bat stays quick through the swing.
- Thick edges: A genuinely large hitting area — the single biggest factor in turning half-timed drives into boundaries.
- Thick reinforced toe: Extra material through the lower blade, the area that takes yorkers and wet-ground damage.
- Soft, responsive ping: Pressed for rebound, so the ball comes off the face with pace rather than dying in the blade.
- Hex grip fitted: Ready to knock in and play.
BLU is the range that moves fastest for us. Two Mirage in this shipment — and the BLU livery is consistently the one players ask for by name.

BLAK, BLU or SPLIIT — Does the Range Matter?
Within the Mirage, Maverick and Monza models, the three ranges share the same Duckbill chassis, the same thick edges and the same willow grades. What changes is the livery and finish — BLAK runs dark, BLU carries the blue colourway, SPLIIT has its own graphic identity. Performance is equivalent, so pick the range on looks and the model on willow grade.
Understanding Willow Grades
English willow is graded on appearance — grain count, straightness and the amount of natural marking through the blade. Grade 1 is the cleanest and dearest; Grade 4 carries more colour and butterfly stain. A lower grade is not a weaker bat, but higher grades generally play in faster and hold rebound longer. Grade 2, as here, sits in genuinely premium territory.
Knocking In and Care
Knock in before facing a hard ball — several hours with a mallet across multiple sessions, rounding the edges, then throw-downs with an old ball. Oil lightly two to three times a season on face, edges and back only, never the splice or stickers. Store flat and dry, out of hot car boots.
Who It's For
Club and grade batters wanting premium willow with a forgiving middle, players who score all round the wicket, and anyone drawn to the BLU colourway.
