English Willow vs Kashmir Willow

Kashmir willow is denser and harder, which makes it durable and cheap but comparatively dead — the ball absorbs energy rather than rebounding. English willow is lighter and more fibrous, compressing on impact and springing back to launch the ball. That's the ping you hear from a good bat.
