How to Pick Your Bat Weight

Pick-up matters more than the number on the sticker. A well-balanced 2.10 can feel lighter through the shot than a poorly-shaped 2.8. Hold the bat one-handed at the top of the handle and hold it out — if your wrist gives out quickly, it's too heavy for you. Most senior club batters land between 2.8 and 2.10; go lighter if you play spin and rotate strike, heavier if you look to hit through the line.
