The Grip Slips. The Shot Goes. Fix It for the Price of a Coffee.
A worn grip is the cheapest problem in cricket and the one most players ignore longest. The rubber goes hard and shiny, your bottom hand rolls at the moment of contact, and suddenly you're bunting drives to mid-off and wondering what happened to your timing. It isn't your technique. It's eight dollars of perished rubber.
The GM Fuze is soft-compound rubber with a distinctive raised pattern that locks into your top hand without you having to squeeze. Full size 12 inch, light enough that it doesn't change your pick-up, and grippy enough that you can hold the bat loose and let your hands work.
Bulletproof Benefits
- Super soft rubber compound: Tacky from the first innings and stays that way, so you can hold the handle lightly and still keep control through the shot.
- Unique raised Fuze pattern: The texture does the gripping for you — no death-clutching the handle, which is what kills wrist movement and flattens your bat speed.
- Genuinely lightweight: Adds almost nothing to the handle, so your bat picks up exactly the way it did when you chose it.
- Full size 12 inch: Covers a standard senior handle end to end, including the extra length keepers and tall players want up near the splice.
- Outstanding feel through the handle: Thin enough to keep feedback from the blade so you know where the middle is, thick enough to take the sting out of a jarring delivery.
- Cheapest performance upgrade you can make: A fresh grip changes how a bat feels more than anything else you can buy for under fifteen dollars.
Fresh stock in at Cranbourne, and grips walk out the door in pre-season. Most players need two a summer and buy one — grab a spare now so you're not playing round three on a grip that's gone glassy.

How to Fit a New Grip
Remove the old grip by cutting it lengthways with scissors — don't try to roll a perished one off, it will tear. Roll the new grip down onto a grip cone, slide the cone over the top of the handle, then roll the grip down the handle while keeping even tension so it doesn't twist. Work slowly and make sure the bottom edge sits flush. A grip cone makes this a thirty-second job; without one it's a wrestle, and we stock them for a few dollars.
When Should You Replace a Grip?
If the surface has gone smooth and shiny, if the rubber feels hard rather than tacky, or if you find yourself gripping tighter than you used to, it's done. Most club players who bat every week should replace grips twice a season. It's the single cheapest thing you can do to keep a bat feeling new.
Who It's For
Any batter who wants a soft, tacky, full-length grip, players who prefer a textured pattern over a smooth or ribbed finish, and anyone whose current grip has gone hard.
