Light Grip or Thick Grip — Which Do You Want?

A light, thin grip like the Pro-Lite keeps your bat's original pick-up and gives you maximum feel through the handle — preferred by players who bat with soft hands and rely on timing. A thicker, heavier grip adds cushioning and suits players who get jarred by genuine pace or who like a fatter handle to hold. Some batters double-grip for a chunkier feel; if that's you, two Pro-Lites still weigh less than one heavy grip.

How to Fit a New Grip

Cut the old grip off lengthways with scissors rather than trying to roll it — a perished grip will tear. Roll the new one onto a grip cone, slide the cone over the handle top, and roll the grip down under even tension so it doesn't spiral. Make sure the bottom edge finishes flush. A grip cone turns this into a thirty-second job and we stock them.
