A Duffle Protects Your Gear. A Trunk Protects It Properly.
Open the average club cricketer's duffle and you'll find the problem. Everything has settled into one heap at the bottom. A helmet grille resting on a bat face. Wet spikes pressed against a pad. The bag has sagged into a banana shape and whatever was at the bottom has worn a hole through the base. Soft bags hold your gear. They don't protect it.
The SG 22 Yards Wheelie Trunk is built on a rigid trunk frame with a removable fibre wall, so it holds its shape loaded or empty and keeps everything in its own compartment. Leatherette and matty fabric outside, soft valet lining inside, and three individually cushioned bat slots so your blades never touch anything but padding.
Bulletproof Benefits
- Rigid trunk construction with removable fibre wall: The internal fibre wall keeps the bag square under load and stops it collapsing into a sagging heap. Take it out when you want one large open space instead — structure when you want it, flexibility when you don't.
- Three individually cushioned bat slots: Each bat gets its own padded channel. Not a shared sleeve where edges grind against each other for an entire season — three separate, protected beds.
- Protective valet lining: Soft cushioned lining throughout the main compartment, so helmet grilles, spikes and buckles can't scratch bat faces or pad fronts in transit.
- Dry Vault: A dedicated sealed-off compartment for the things that must not get wet — phone, keys, wallet, spare inners, scorebook. Separated from the damp kit that comes off at stumps.
- Cool Vault: An insulated section that keeps a bottle or ice pack genuinely cold through a long session. In an Australian summer this gets used every single week, and almost nothing in this category offers it.
- Separate shoe cavity: External compartment that isolates muddy spikes completely. Your whites never share space with wet grass again.
- Leatherette and matty fabric build: A premium hard-wearing exterior that shrugs off boot wells, concrete and clubhouse floors, and wipes clean rather than staining.
- Wheeled with pull handle: The weight rides on the ground, not your shoulder — which matters more than anything else once a full senior kit is in there.
At $349 this is a genuine trunk, not a duffle with a rigid panel glued in. Trunks are what serious club and grade players move to once they've destroyed a soft bag or two — and they're the slowest category for us to restock.

Trunk vs Wheelie Duffle — What's the Difference?
A wheelie duffle is a soft bag on wheels: lighter, more forgiving in a small boot, and cheaper, but it sags under load and your gear ends up in one pile. A trunk is built on a rigid internal frame, so it holds its shape, stands upright on its own, stacks in a car and keeps each item in its allocated space. Bats stay in bat slots instead of rattling around against a helmet. If you own good gear and intend to keep it good, a trunk is the upgrade — the trade-off is a few extra kilograms of bag.
What the Dry Vault and Cool Vault Actually Do
These aren't marketing names for ordinary pockets. The Dry Vault is a separated compartment that keeps moisture-sensitive items away from the wet gear that goes back in the bag after a game — so your phone and keys aren't sitting against a damp towel for the drive home. The Cool Vault is insulated, which means a frozen bottle or an ice pack stays cold for hours rather than minutes. On a 38-degree Saturday, that is the feature you'll notice most.
Who It's For
Senior club and grade cricketers with a full kit and good gear to protect, players who have already worn out a soft duffle, keepers and all-rounders carrying extra equipment, and anyone who wants their bats arriving in the same condition they left in.
